When posting anything on the site, in particular forum topics and comments, you will run across your text area.

If you didn't already figure it out, you have a choice between BBCode with the toolbar like AVEN has, or a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor in the style of a word processor.

BBCode is enabled by default. If you're from AVEN you'll already be aware of how it works.
If not, please click here to find out more.

You can, however, choose the WYSIWYG if you click "Input format" which appears below the text box. Select "WYSIWYG" and the box will change.

Emoticons do not work. Please be aware that even when you put in a smiley such as: :)
... it still won't parse as a smiley.

If you're comfortable with that, however, feel free to use the WYSIWYG.
